Hi,
Sorry - I am new to all this.
I uploaded all the files onto AwardSpace although when i clicked on my website,
this came up
Warning: main(include/init.inc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/clemencepoesy.awardspace.com/index.php on line 68
Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'include/init.inc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php4/share/pear') in /home/www/clemencepoesy.awardspace.com/index.php on line 68
Although I dont understand why,
I thought I must have missed the index file, although it was there. I re uploaded it again anyway (and again) but it didnt change anything, I was hoping you could point me in the right direction.
thank you
xox
re-upload the init.inc.php file into the include folder.
I reuploaded the init file but it didnt make any difference.
What would you recomend?
Sorry to be a burden.

Your gallery is here I assume - http://clemencepoesy.awardspace.com/
So init.inc.php should be here - http://clemencepoesy.awardspace.com/include/init.inc.php
It's not there, so you haven't uploaded it.
I uploaded the init.inc.php file a few times, and each time i got the same result - it wouldnt work. Then I redownladed all the files and tried the init.inc.php thing again and it still wouldnt work.
I dont understand why it isnt working because I can see the file is there just like all the others, and the others seem to work.
It is probably something very simple - Sorry

I dont think your problem is just with the init.inc.php; your site does not actually have the include directory on your server and neither do you have the images directory, in fact you also dont have the lang directory. I have only checked for those 3 directories so it could be the case that you are missing alot more files. How are you uploading the files?
I have the files saved into my documents and i am uploading them via the file manager on awardspace. Is that not the right thing to do?

No. Get a ftp program and reupload the entire file package for 1.4.18.
Also make sure that when you unzip the coppermine package to preserve the folder-structure within the archive (WinZip and similar applications have a checkbox that says "preserve folder structure" - make sure that you have ticked that option).
Take a look at the tutorial http://coppermine-gallery.net/tutorial/download.php
For the FTP app: you should take a look at the apps we recommend, see Tools recommended by the devs (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,31423.0.html)
