Title: [Solved]: Coppermine & SMF PROBLEMS!!!
Post by: DSHC on May 19, 2008, 05:33:26 PM
Okay, I searched the forum over and the few articles I did find did not help me resolve my problem.  I bridged SMF & Coppermine via the Coppermine bridging application and now I only get the forum login when I click on my gallery link or even type in the link to my gallery.  This happens in both firefox and ie Check it out at www.digishophopcrop.com.  What can I do to repair the problem?  I've unbridged and rebridged several times using different SMF settings.  It is driving me bananas.  I'm almost positive its something to do with the cookies but what?  I've also asked this over at the smf forums.

These are my Coppermine settings:

Coppermine install: http://www.digishophopcrop.com/gallery/
Forum install: http://www.digishophopcrop.com/forum/
Coppermine version: cpg 1.4.18
Forum version: SMF 1.1.5
Test user account: test / pass: test

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://www.digishophopcrop.com/forum
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../forum/
Use post-based groups?:  0
Cookie name/prefix: coppermine

These are my SMF settings:
Enable local storage of cookies:  unchecked
Use subdomain independent cookies: checked
Use database driven sessions: unchecked
Allow browsers to go back to cached pages: checked

You have your gallery set to registered users only, so you get redirected to the login page. Same thing happens with unbridged Coppermine.

That's expected behaviour if you have set "Allow unlogged users (guest or anonymous) access" to "no" in coppermine's config. After logging in with the test user account I was able to enter your gallery just fine. Allow guest access if you don't want all users to be forced to log in first.

Okay, I got that problem repaired but now once I login and switch from the forum to gallery I can't logout from the gallery I get an error message that reads:

An Error Has Occurred!
Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again.

This happened with my admin, my test account and the only other account on there. GRRR!!! What on earth would cause that.

okay I cleared my cookies and that wasn't it.  I think I figured out what was going on by observing the url when it was working and not working.  for some reason when it would switch from http://digishophopcrop.com/forum to http://www.digishophopcrop.com/gallery the www was what was causing the problem.  in all my headers on both the gallery and forum i took away the www and that solved the problem so i think.  could someone please just double check with the test account to make sure you can log in and out just fine?  thanks for all your help. its muchly appreciated.
