Title: 403 Forbidden
Post by: drinkingsouls on May 26, 2008, 10:22:16 PM
Hey,
I have searched the forum and found some answers to this but my problem is a little different.
My whole website has had the message:

QuoteForbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

For the past week, but earlier today I deleted my .htaccess file in the home directory and I can now see all the rest of my site fine, apart from coppermine. Before everything on my site was forbidden, all directories and files, but now its just coppemine.

Is there a .htaccess file in coppermine that needs deleting? I dont have any more .htaccess files on my site so I dont know what could be causing this.
Any help is appreciated, please dont be mean though, one of the staff members was mean before when I posted a topic.
Thanks

Okay, it seems nobody has a solution to this.
Would it be possible to delete all coppermine files from my server except the albums dirctory with the images in and then re install coppermine with the albums and images still there? How would I go about doing that? Which files store the album settings? Surely if I backed up the database and used that it would work yes?
Thanks

If you back up the db and leave the albums folder intact you could do a reinstallation of cpg. No probem.
