Title: [Solved]: Some computers cant see copermine?

hello

i recently installed coppermine version v1.4.16

the address is http://www.justforests.org/gallery/index.php (http://www.justforests.org/gallery/index.php)

It works fine on my computer and fine on a good few friends .. but have noticed that its not working on all computers..

Plus i say computers and not browsers because.

I have a laptop and computer with firefox and ie where this link works fine. plus i connect to the internet using a broadband company called last mile
I go to a friends house and use his laptop which has firefox opera and ie & using Bt broadband I cannot see the site
I then grabbed another friends laptop went to my 1st friends used his bband connection and could see the site ....

So im lost as to what the problem is ..

Can anyone help?

This might helps you.. I try the link and I can't see the gallery either.
I can't see the index.php but all the rest of the gallery works perfect for me. Try to acces from the pc that doesn't work and go directly to http://www.justforests.org/gallery/admin.php (http://www.justforests.org/gallery/admin.php), faq.php, registrer.php, or others. Maybe you just modified something on index.php that doesn't allows you to see on others computers.

Post your test.

Yes have tried that and get the same result as yourself... faq.php and a few others working, but not every page ...

I suggest you start downloading 1.4.18 asap and install it before doing anything else.

hello again and sorry for the delay...

well here we go i just installed the latest version to this dir/

and guess what? i know cant see any pages .. but get the feeling other people can

just to recap.. http://www.justforests.org/gallery/ this i can see but the person who im installing for cannot on his pc
no a fresh install to a different dir http://www.justforests.org/gallerys/ and now i cant see

Eh someone want to explain to me whats going on thanks

http://www.justforests.org/gallerys/: You haven't uploaded all the files, for example parts of the themes are missing.

Ok have started from scratch again..

deleted:   http://www.justforests.org/gallerys/   folder contents

Unzipped fresh download cpg1418

Re uploading to gallerys folder

chmod "albums" and "include" to 777

went to http://www.justforests.org/gallerys/install.php to setup admin

done...

can everyone see the gallery now?

To be honest, yes, I do have problems. I can't see your gallery. I can see faq.php, install.php (erase it), register.php and other but index.php. I post just to help, ok? I don't want to cause problems, I just say that I have the same problem than before the re installing. Try yourself in a couple of computers and post.

I see. It doesn't work in languages other than English. I don't know why this happens, so just delete all lang files from the lang directory other than English to force the gallery into English.

Right i have deleted install.php and all lang files execpt english.php in both the old "gallery" and the new "gallerys" folders

I wont be able to use another pc to test it for about 20 hours so until then can people tell me if they can see both the following links

If you're not going to use both galleries, erase the entire folder completely... just to avoid confusion...  ;)

that worked lads.. deleting the /lang files except the english.php file

all computers trying to view it now dont seem to have any problems.


when i get a chance i'll go to my friends computer and try spot the difference with our setups to see if i can solve the problem for you..
