Hi, all -
I'd like to experiment with slide shows. My search of the forums reveals that CPG supports them, but...I can't find any "how-to" instructions. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks...

Do I assume correctly you're referring to this?
Show film strip
Toggles display of a "film strip" showing thumbnails of prior and subsequent files in the album.
I'm not quite sure what that means, "prior and subsequent" files in the album.
Do I need to set this for each file in an album? And...once I do this, how do I go about actually starting the slide show?
Thanks, Steve.

No - I assumed you were talking about a "Slide Show", not a "Film Strip".
You can begin a "Slide Show" by clicking on the Slideshow icon just above the Intermediate size image display - just to the right of the File Information icon. You control the "dwell time" through Admin > Config > Image View > Slideshow interval in milliseconds
The documentation I was drawing your attention to was:
QuoteSlideshow interval in milliseconds
This sets the time that each pic is to be displayed (transition interval) when a user is viewing a slideshow (the next pic is being loaded/cached while the current one is being displayed). This setting must be in milliseconds (1 second = 1000 milliseconds).
Remember that setting this to a very low value may not be in the best interest for all of your users, especially those who are on dial-up connections, or if you have large files (kb)that may take longer than the allotted time to display.
Does that help?

This is an excellent start. (Your assumption was right, by the way -- I was indeed talking about a slide show.)
So...is there a way to get fancy with this, like with Ken Burns effects, fade in/out and the like, or is this basically it?
Thanks...
I think that's basically it for "vanilla" CPG.
You might find some ideas in previous threads, for example:

Good deal. Thanks, Steve...we can consider this one closed out.
