You have to login with an administrator acount.
I advise you not allow to someone install coppermine for you. It is common to have problems when you let the job to another software to install coppermine (Fantastico, or your web hosting server) This software it's easy to install as 1, 2, 3. Just read a little bit I you could learn a lot during process. It will save a lot of time to really learn about cpg. Just advise. ;)
First you need to login as an Admin before you can see those links.
It is not recommended to use host bases installers as they often have outdated versions of the software possibly leaving you open to known security problems. In your case you are running an outdated version 1.4.17 so you need to upgrade straight away. All the information on hoe to do this is in the documentation on this site where you will also find all you need to know on setting up your gallery.
Thanks - I have cpg 1418 on the remote site but the autoinstaller clearly put an older version up.I have looked at the documentation - changed the permissions on the various folders
but have got no further. At what point do you see the install screen?
Thanks
There are some links above every page on this site, you should use it. Read: http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#how (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#how)
There is no easier way to acomplish what you're looking for.
Hi,
I followed the link below but it returned nothing
type the following URL into your web browser: http://your_server/coppermine_dir/install.php
I have a file called coppermine and a sub folder called cpg1418 - based on this how would I adapt this URL?
I guess by your server you mean my domain naame
Thanks
Yes,
http://yourwebsite.com/cpg1418/install.php
Think I've cracked it - in a rare moment of wisdom I logged onto my web site via internet explorer rather than AOL and it allowed me to do the admin piece - is it something to do with AOL supporting (or not) PHP files?
Thanks
Brian
