If you have really selected a file to upload, check that the server allows file uploads...

Two supporters report that the test user account doesn't work - just posting that it works for you is not very bright. You should really do as suggested and review the account. Mind the capitalization. I tried
Test as username and
Testacc as password, which does
not work. Period.

Try the other suggestions mentioned in http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/upload_troubleshooting.htm#no_file_uploaded as well.
If it is switched to ON then you need to ask your host for support to find out why uploads are not working.
I am sorry

As suggested in the docs section I refered to, the temp folder might be missing. Hein already told you who might fix this for you: your webhost.

Go do exactly that. Contact your host and ask if there is any other restriction in place which stops uploading through the site itself.

the upload temp folder is set:
upload_tmp_dir = /var/www/****/phptmp/
Permissions might be wrong. Do as suggested: ask your webhost!
