hello,
Im sure im missing something obvious, but i've gone thru the documentation and am not sure what I'm doing wrong,
also searched thru the forum (one person had the same prob, then posted that they had fixxed it, without giving the answer)
Tryying to add custom pictures to alot of ZIP files, when I do the "batch add" method end up with all the ZIPs showing the correct pictures. but also have the same pictures as jpgs in the album as well. (eg the same pictures twice).
how do I delete the jpg pictures but leave the ZIPs with the same picture.
cheers
I figure you are using 1.4.16 still ? If so then first upgrade to 1.4.18 a.s.a.p.
so upgrading to .18 will fix my issue?
as I dont really want to go thru the updating process unless can find out what I'm doing wrong. (as ive been tryying to nut this out for days )
You are not supposed to batch add the thumbs. Just upload them with the correct naming and they will be used. Updating is necessary for security reasons.
i thought thats what im doing already
eg
in the batch add ->
abc.zip
abc.jpg
result = abc.zip looking like abc.jpg but also another file abc.jpg in album
i am noob ;D
read: http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#cust_thmb
QuoteFile-specific thumbnails must have the same base name as the file. Using the above screenshot of a video file as an example, the thumbnails for this file could be 'thumb_thailand_waterfall.gif', 'thumb_thailand_waterfall.png', or 'thumb_thailand_waterfall.jpg', and searched for by cpg in that order.
if you have a file "abc.jpg" a thumbnail "thumb_abc.jpg" will be created and also used by abc.zip
