read docs. editing template.html...just not getting it. is there an example of what an edited template.html file might look like? (and even a theme.php file?)
here's my template.html contents...
{META} {CUSTOM_HEADER}
{SYS_MENU}
{SUB_MENU}
{LANGUAGE_SELECT_FLAGS}{THEME_SELECT_LIST} {LANGUAGE_SELECT_LIST}
{ADMIN_MENU} {GALLERY}
{CUSTOM_FOOTER}{VANITY}
and here's a link to my super pathetic gallery: http://www.craftfancy.com/gallery (http://www.craftfancy.com/gallery)
i thought that changing the .css would give me complete results, but i cannot find the banner image anywhere (i copied, renamed and replaced with mine. but need to re-size it, don't you think ;) ?)
also that purple is not going away. where is that color coming from?
going on 3 days now. about to rip my hair out. (using user-contributed theme 'pink' and just loaded 1.4.18. know enough html to create a basic website.)
nevermind. i'm a dumb*
Why don't you post your insight for the benefit of others with similar questions? That's the point of a support board.
sorry. had it all typed up then had to leave. so here goes again...
i was using Visual Studio to edit the template.html file (thinking it was better than Dreamweaver and i had been using it to edit my .css file).
that doesn't work...as you can see, the only code to edit is what i had posted in my first post. can't do anything with that! it wasn't until i accidentally opened the file with notepad that all the tables and columns were there for me to edit! ;)
Don't use WYSIWYG-editors to edit coppermine files!
