Title: how do i protect my pictures?

i dont want the users to right click on my images and save if they want any images they can download it is there possible to stop users from right click...

i tried searching this forum but couldnt find much help....

If you want to disable right clicking, there is a mod for that. It will not stop image theft, it will just annoy people.

i fixed it myself that mod is too big for a little change i just in some java scripts now it works fine..

ok here is another problem... when i turn off the right click option using a java script but version 1.2 doesn have a download option like the 1.3 does is there any solution for this i turned off the right just to protect the images from hot linking or other stuff but if a user wants to download the image he can download anyhow???

hate to say it.... any image on a website that someone VIEWS is already downloaded to that persons PC.

Check your Temp Internet Files sometime.

If you don't want it on someone's PC.. don't put it on the web. :)

if you don't want it hotlinked... add a .htaccess file to stop photos from working that are linked 'off site'

thats true its downloaded to the temp directory but not many ppl care about that i am concerned with the hot linking so if you could help let me know how to do that .htaccess file

any kind of help is appriciated

search this board for "hotlinking", this has already been answered. You'll need apache webserver with mod_rewrite enabled...
