BUG RELATED TO THE CATEGORIES/ALBUMS FOR GUEST PICTURE UPLOAD
GUESTS CAN'T CHOOSE ALL CATEGORIES/ALBUMS
I found a bug in 1.4.18 - when guests are allowed to upload pictures and if you have, for example, 10 categories (my gallery has 1 album per category), the scroll list doesn't work well, it doesn't show all catergories/albums but only a several ones.
The same bug doesn't exist for registered users.
are you sure that you have allowed user upload for all albums (albums property) ?
Yes, I'm sure... of course. I'm testing things as guest. Guest can upload pictures but after that, when he wants to select the category/album to place the picture, the scroll list has a bug (it shows only several of the first categories/albums).
In fact... wait a minute, I'll verify something to be 100% sure
Yes, you're right... VERY VERY SORRY about my stupid post.
By the way, maybe it's a good thing to have these album properties checkboxes when creating the albums... and not after that, to check every album.
Regards
Next time don't start shouting bug right away. First have it verifief by at least 1 dev team member. Thanks.
And also... the great thing will be if registered user can place pictures in the defined by the admin categories/albums... and not only in "personal" galleries. I'm quite new to Coppermine and it seems to me that is an essential great (but missing) feature. Maybe it's not easy to implement.
Regards,
Yes, I'm sorry. Again. I took note for the future.
In my post before the last I wanted to sey "registered users to be able to create albums in defined by admin categories". Obviously, I make mistakes today.
Obviously: yes >:(!
- Shouting "bug" if you're not 100% sure is not a very bright thing
- Uploads don't go into categories, but only into albums, so your initial posting was invalid in the first place
- In the future, respect the "one issue per thread" policy that you agreed to when signing up
- Also respect the fact that there is a difference between a support request and a feature request. We even have two different sub-boards for them
Marking thread accordingly and locking.
