I have read the documentation and posts far back. When ever i try uploading pictures i get the message:

Error executing ImageMagick - Return value: 1

Cmd line :
/usr/bin/convert -quality 80 -antialias -geometry 100x50 'albums/GH/spinmax1.jpg' 'albums/GH/thumb_spinmax1.jpg'


The convert program said:
convert: unable to open image `albums/GH/thumb_spinmax1.jpg': Permission denied.


i have fallowed all the basic instructions and i'v Enabled the debug mode. any help given would be greatly appreciated. I also thought i should tell you that im trying to upload .jpg pictures using filezilla as my ftp program.

Check your file permissions. Albums directory and everything in it should be writeable for your webserver.

my The "album directory *" it says "album/"
