Currently: no, except his user gallery.

who knows - in the long run categories may be dropped alltogether in favour of nested albums...

albums can store pictures at the moment, categories can store sub-categories or albums. In the long run we want to have albums that can store both sub-albums and pics.

Album -> Sub-Album1
          -> Sub-Album2 -> Sub-Sub-Album1
                                 -> Sub-Sub-Album2
...

But all this isn't possible right now, we're just considering this for future versions although.

basicly that means a user can have sub albums then? like he can have his gallery and in thta he can have diffrent albums for diffrent types of stuff?

yes, but there's little point in poking on this, since it's only wishfull thinking at the moment - not one line of code has been written to enable you to do this, it's only a plan for future versions. No need to speculate about future features - you'll have to go with what you've got at the moment.
