Title: Re: Installation Requirements
Post by: Ongkie on August 30, 2008, 05:11:31 PM
I can't run install.php from my browser "http://www.indonesiaku.web.id/coppermine/install.php"  :)
What shall I ask to the webhosting administrator?

Thanks

You don't seem to have uploaded Coppermine to begin with.

:) I have copied all (around 750 files) coppermine files into my root space in the web but still can't run install.php.

Thank you for your answer anyway

If you uploaded the files into the webroot, the installer should reside here: http://www.indonesiaku.web.id/install.php (but it doesn't), so you must have made a mistake with that as well. We can hardly advise you where you uploaded the files to.

:) I put them inside the coppermine folder and copied that coppermine folder to the root directory.
In my humble opinion it should run whenever I type "http://www.indonesiaku.web.id/coppermine/install.php" in my browser and press enter button.

Maybe I have to check into the webhosting company that I use - maybe there's restriction that make it happen like what I wrote above.

Thanks for your comment guys :)

We can't teach you how to use your FTP app and what folders you FTP-upload to correspond to what folders on your webspace, nor can we know what you need to do on your webhosting account. All those questions can only be answered by your webhost, not by us. Your question has been invalid in the first place, and you shouldn't have hijacked someone else's thread that is totally unrelated (that's why your reply was split from that thread).
