I have created an video archive but the video wont play, how do I fix this?
http://videos.dtennant.com/thumbnails.php?album=1
Deep link to the video is http://videos.dtennant.com/displayimage.php?pos=-1
Works as expected for me (the video starts with a guy staring along a dark street and looking at an older woman, then turning round to see a younger blonde. the music is some slow, sad ballad performed by a female singer. Couldn't stand to watch the video any longer).
Make sure that your browser is configured to play the video: can you see the video when accessing it directly by following this link: http://videos.dtennant.com/albums/fans/admin/scientist.avi
If you can't, you need to review multimedia support on your PC.

Hijacking someone else's thread is not a bright idea.
Upgrade!
Sorry but I am very newbie. What are the differents between the link that I've posted (
http://www.viniciusmachado.com/crisevini/album/displayimage.php?album=8&pos=0) and what you have done (http://crisevini.viniciusmachado.com/album/displayimage.php?pos=-1028) ? I'm still having this problem. I can't see the video...
And what did you mean with: Hijacking someone else's thread is not a bright idea ? My english is not good. And I've installed the coppermine from my host and I've ran the upgrade.exe and everything was upgraded...
Could you please help me with this issue ?
Best regards,
Vinicius Machado

Auto-installers are not supported - the only upgrade method that get's supported is the one we describe in our documentation (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#14). You're still on cpg1.4.18, so the auto-installer/auto-upgrader of your webhost lags behind in version count by one: the most recent stable release currently is cpg1.4.19

The one you posted is a relative one that describes the relative position of the file within the album. If you add further files to the album the position will change and subsequently the link you posted will point to a different file. The link I posted is an absolute one that will point to the file in question no matter what. A permanent URL if you want to put it that way.

I'm still having this problem. I can't see the video...
I can see the video just fine, so the problem lies in your browser - you probably don't have the proper browser plugins.

Your issue and the issue the original thread starter brought up are different. You shouldn't have replied to this thread (hijacking this thread to focus on your issues instead of the issues of the original thread starter, trying to draw supporter's attention to your issues instead of the issues the orginal thread starter is having), but you should have started a thread of your own.

I really don't understand 'cause I can see all videos from others gallerries but mine...

My english is very poor, I didn't undertand at all. I'm so sorry!

Thanks I will do this update and see what happens... Anyway thanks a lot for your help, but could you tell me what can I do besides the update to can play the videos?
Hey,
I'v found this in another topic and really fixed the issue:
This only seems to affect IE. I'm relatively new to Coppermine, at least as far as modifying but the following worked for me. Not sure how this would apply to different themes but open /themes/classic/theme.php If your theme.php is empty copy theme.php from the sample folder to classic.
Find:
Code:
'clsid' => 'classid="clsid:6BF52A52-394A-11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6" ',
Replace with:
Code:
'clsid' => 'classid="clsid:22D6F312-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95" ',
Find:
Code:
'codebase' => 'codebase="http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab#Version=5,1,52,701" ',
Replace with:
Code:
'codebase' => 'codebase="http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab#Version=6,4,7,1112" ',
Upgrading would have done the same trick.
