I've uploaded my pics to my ftpserver and am trying to batch upload
1) I get into the file-structure and the window where I'm supposed to tick of pictures to upload, but at the top it says: (in norwegian)
Advarsel: skriptet kan ikke skrive til denne mappen, du må kjøre den skrivbar før du forsøker å legge til filene!
something like: Warning, script can not write to this folder, you must run it writable before trying to add files
How do I do that?
2) some of my jpg. pics still can't be read.
3) When I upload, I get a blue link saying "edit picture or upload again" behind every file, and the pics doesn't appear anywhere. Is this related to the script thing?
Set permissions as described in the documentation.
http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#permissions
I read it, but have no idea how to do it. Can't see that it sais how either, just what. I didn't install the gallery my self, it's delivered by my host.
Just as advice, start over again. We recommend not to use auto-install. Read please: (Preliminary Docs for 1.5v) Auto-Installers (http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/auto-installers.htm#auto-installers)
Anyways, setting permission it's not related to Coppermine. At the end of the text that Nibbler quote says:
QuoteIf you can't figure how to set permissions properly, ask your webhost for support.
Or, google it. ;)
Regards,
ok,. you see, I thought coppermine was the web host...
The web host is the company who gives you webspace (and a domain). Marking thread as "solved"
Well, not really solved. I got the permission thing in order, but problem 3 still occurs. The pics still doesn't upload
Then do exactly as suggested in the docs, section "asking for support on upload issues".
I did...
You tell me to ask the hosts of the domain
They tell me to ask the owners of the gallery
Both saying you don't know what to do...?
If you read carefully, Joachim already told you what to do. He said:
QuoteThen do exactly as suggested in the docs, section "asking for support on upload issues".
So, do your homework, and post again.
