Title: [Solved]: Critical Error when uploading
Post by: Solc on April 23, 2004, 11:37:04 AM
I just installed CPG on my domain and I tried to upload files with the Xp Publisher
The publisher only created a directory but after "uploading" there were no files in the folder.
Then I tried to upload a single file with the upload feature on CPG, but that gave me a critical error.

This is my xp publish log:

And this is the critical error I get when uploading a single file:

seems like you can't use ImageMagick on your webspace. Before playing around with xp_publisher, did you manage to upload the "normal" way (using http upload)?

No, I used the xp_publisher direct from the beginning. But it worked on an another account, but not anymore.
I'll reinstall IM and see if that helps.

Sorry for the double post, but reinstalling did not help. Same error while uploading.

please answer the question: can you upload over "regular" http upload? Can you use ftp-upload plus batch-add?

While using CPG I can not upload anything, I get the same error.
But on another CPG it worked fine and also on other http upload stuff

I think the question is not if upload works on another coppermine install - we're refering to the install you're having problems with.
What are the exact error messages when you try to http-upload?

GauGau

P.S. Batch-add: see http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/manual.php#batch_add_pics (recommended reading anyway!)

When using the http upload on CPG I get these error messages:

Unable to create thumbnail or reduced size image.

When Using the Batch -add option I can upload the files, I can see them when I open it using the exact url to the file.
But when I try to batch them I get this:

As u can see the files are not showed and when I look in the album it says there are no files in the album

Have you switched to GD2 yet?  You webhost has disabled the exec() function, which means you will not be able to use ImageMagick.

That's pretty weird, because it's payed Lycos account, and on the free lycos account it worked perfect  ???
And no I haven't switched to GD2 yet, but I've read somewhere that my host should have that to because it's not my own server.  :-\
