Hi!

I have more than 100 albums in my gallery and when I'm uploading pics it's very difficult to find an album from a very long list. Is there any way to hide albums or something like that?

No, at least not out of the box. How should a miraculous hiding-mechanism "know" which albums to hide and which to display. Sounds like a nonsensical request to me.

For example I have a category with "2007," "2008," and "2009" sub-categories. It's 2009 now so i won't update "2007" and "2008" anymore so I think it's possible to hide all the album from this categories. What do you think?

You could hard-code that in into the upload form.

How do you do that?

I would also like to hide my 2008 albums from the album list.

You could create a category called something like Archives and move old albums there.
