The message suggests that you have not set the permissions correctly for the albums folder.
Can we have a link to your gallery and a user account as requested in the docs?
Set albums, edit and userpics to 777 and try again.

I hate to say this but <!--Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.3.3-->....
The current version is 1.4.19. You really need to upgrade asap. As you have no pictures in there yet, is this a new install? Made with a web based installer?
Yes, it is a new install through plesk
That is the reason a lot of these installers are a waste of time. The software you are running is very very out of date. Since then there have been a number of important security updates and quite a bit of improvement in the functionality of coppermine.
Download the latest version from this site and install via ftp. Do not use the plesk panels ftp package but use a propper one such as filezilla. Then set the files and folders listed in the docs to 777 and you will be good to go.
Thanks
I did everything you suggested and it seams to be working fine, but I get the following msg when ia user post
Sorry there is no album where you are allowed to upload files
any idea
Well done on upgrading.
You need to edit the albums properties. In admin mode click on the properties tab of the album you want open to users and there will be an option in there call 'visitors can upload files', set it to yes. Then review the setings in your groups panel. Check the docs for full instructions.
