Title: [Solved]: MySQL Database Connection Error

Hey,

I'm Trying to install Coppermine 1.4 onto my website.
The Format is Localhost

I can go so far as to get the install screen and put in the data I would like but It exclaims it cannot find the database "gallery"

I've tried various formations of text to get it to work,

Examples:

locahost_gallery
gallery_locahost
root_gallery

And So on.

Any help is appreciated

Spec of software

Apache 2.0
Xampp 1.7.0
MySQL 5
PHP 5

You need to ask your host waht the settings should be. The first bit is usually just localhost but can be different depending on the host. The database name can also be fixed by the host. Check your hosting control panel for details or contact them.

Hey,

There isn't a host... Its hosted On my machine as a tester for a New Skin I wanted to work on.

Did you actually create the database first? Enter the database name as 'gallery' - no special prefix or format needed.
