Title: Pics uploaded...now what? How do I put them in the gallery, etc
Post by: pengyou on January 31, 2009, 06:04:01 PM
I have looked at a lot of links and think this program is really awesome!  But I am having a bit of trouble getting started.  I have uploaded my pics through ftp to the site - almost 800 of them.  I work in the admin mode.  Now, I can't seem to get them to display in the gallery or to share them though I can access them by category.  Also, I am wondering if there is a mode to use to display each pic, one at a time, with the custom fields automatically displayed so that I can add data about each child in the picture?

Thanks for a great product!

Yes, I have.   I have read it through a couple of times :(    I am referring to the file that you see when you click on "documentation" at the top of the page.  Is that what u r talking about?  By reading this I have learned how to move files but not how to copy files, and not how to get pics displayed in the gallery :(

The reason why I want to copy files is that I often have one pic with 2 or 3 students in it.  Each student has their own album.  What do I do?  CM will not allow having the same filename in the database more than once :(
