Print Page - default category thumbnails

I am guessing the last photo uploaded in a category is made the default thumbnail for the category. How can I change what the default photo is without uploading a redundant photo? I obviously have no PHP skills.

You do not need PHP skills. You need reading skills. Use them reading skills on this part of the documentation ;):
