I am having the exact same problem on my site as well. as shown on this thread http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=601.0
If I hover my mouse over a picture in the search results, the footer of IE says "http://www.mydomain.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=search&cat=0&pos=0"
But if I hover my mouse over the same picture by browsing to it instead of searching for it, I get ""http://www.mydomain.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=3&pos=1"
The second one works, but obviously the second does not.
What version are you using. If 1.1x, you are recommended to upgrade to 1.2.1
I am using 1.2.1.
I am using IE 6.0.x w/service pack 1 and several security fixes. When I delete temp files, issue persists. When I delete history, issue persists. When I delete cookies, that fixes the problem. But I shouldn't have to do that. What about all my users? I don't want to have to add something that says "Search results not working? Try deleting your cookies!". There has got to be a better way to deal with this.
Ok,
moved your posts to 1.2 support.
My opinion is this is a cookie problem on your machine.
Please give a link and test account, so I can check.
I also have this problem:
http://www.across.ch/images/thumbnails.php?album=search&type=full&search=stefan
Thanks for any help

Your search worked perfectly for me. I also tried other searches.
Please describe your problem exactly.
Note. To avoid confusion, the search results normally have a url like 'http://www.mydomain.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=search&cat=0&pos=0', for the first pic, then 'pos=1' for the 2nd etc.
ps, please turn off your debug mode. Don't worry about the notices.
Thank you for your answer Casper and please excuse my imprecise entry.
The search function is running perfectly, but when clicking an image in the results set,
there is a text appearing: No image to display.
I'd prefer it to see the picture :)
As I said in my reply, your search is working perfectly for me. I went again to your link above, and checked all of the 'stefan' pics. The all displayed properly.
I then did my own search, for 'all'. I had 29 results, and all displayed correctly again.
I have been unable to duplicate the error you describe. Try deleting your cookies, and try again.
The search will only work if you are accepting cookies from the site.
It was the cookie - deleted... and the problem is solved.
Thanks a lot for the lightspeed support and this amazing script!
Best regards from Switzerland
