Hum,

This is a hard one. If everything freeze, guessing what happens is rather complex.

Now, can you try the 3.6.0a, that I attached to the thread 'Problem Uploading With Jupload 3.5 / mod_ssl / basic_auth'. You use this direct link:
http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=59209.0;attach=20612 (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=59209.0;attach=20612)

I corrected a NulPointerException during initialization. It may cause your browser to freeze.

The stable old version of Jupload work with the last Ubuntu version 8.10 but with the new 9.04 doesn't work.

If I understand well:
- Both the 'old' and the new version of JUpload you use works on UBuntu 8.1
- Both fails ont UBuntu 9.04.

Right ?

If yes, I guess I can't do anything. If it still fail with next version, I'll try it.

Can you try with other page, that contains applet ?

Some checks you can do, still:
- Block javascript
- Block applet.

I guess you can do that in Firefox  (I guess you mean it, when you say Mozilla).

Hi,

You must close your browser, to use the applet that is on the file system.

If it doens't work, do these steps:
1) Close your browser
2) Remove all jupload files on the server
3) re-install the plugin (either by FTP or by the Coppermine plugins manager)
4) Re-open the browser, and try it: it should work.  Check the applet version displayed on the bottom of it).

Hi,

This is the Coppermine plugin version.

The applet version is a:
Jupload applet 4.x.x [Rév: nnn]

(in the bottom of the applet, just above the text you're talking about)

Can I have an admin access on your system?

By the way,

I found a workaround: make the applet work in debugLevel 100, but allow redirect to the next page, after upload.

Can you try it ?

=> [Update]This post should have come on another thread (Jarod: JUpload freezes up). But it may actually be the same problem then yours.

hum,

I guess I mixed different threads in my mind. Your issue is about ubuntou last release, so on client side. Then, I don't need the admin password.

But, at least I can check which version is installed. FYI, I won't work on this before monday.
