Title: Crating Thumb images and coping missing files
Post by: shaidar on June 15, 2009, 04:02:17 PM
Dear all,

I had a server crash yesterday and I have lost about 1300 pictures uploaded recently. But I have up-to-date database backup. I also have the original files which I uploaded in Coppermine before the server crash. (which are missing now). After restoring the server I can see these files as missing . As suggested by the forum I wanted to use the admintool to re-create the thumb images so I created a folder "albums/userpics/10001/805/"  and gave permission 777 and copied the original files from my desktop on to this. then I called admintools to re-create thumbnails and/or resized images and got the following error.

ERROR creating : albums/userpics/10001/805/thumb_Fire_Roll.JPG
ERROR creating : albums/userpics/10001/805/thumb_Fire_Rings1.JPG
ERROR creating : albums/userpics/10001/805/thumb_Fire_Rings.JPG
ERROR creating : albums/userpics/10001/805/thumb_Fire_Grass.JPG
ERROR creating : albums/userpics/10001/805/thumb_Fire_Cage.JPG
ERROR creating : albums/userpics/10001/805/thumb_Fire_Box.JPG
ERROR creating : albums/userpics/10001/805/thumb_Fire_Arc.JPG
ERROR creating : albums/userpics/10001/805/thumb_Finbowl.JPG

I would really appreciates if someone could explain why this error is coming and how I could do the above task.

since I have the up-to-date database, if I get this working I can bring the Coppermine back to its original state. All your suggestions and supports are welcome.

best regards,

Rajeev

I already told shaidar

Crystal balls and other magician equipment is out of stock, so we have to rely on traditional methods of support: you'll need to tell us more details if you want actual help. Into this category ("more details") falls a link to your gallery (again: board rules (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,55415.msg270616.html#msg270616)!).
Why don't you do as suggested?
