Title: Bug Issue
Post by: Corrupted on June 19, 2009, 12:23:54 AM
Ok since I couldn't post in the bug section thought this might be the right place. Anyways for some reason out of the blue none of my pictures in the gallery show up any more, all that is showing up is the little white box with red X in it. I just turned the bug report on and this is what I get. I also contacted my host and asked them if they might know as it happened before but was a permission issue I guess but not the case this time.

My other ? would be is it possible to upgrade from the 1.4.18  to the latest version? If so can someone point me into the right direction on how to do this. I would appreciate any help thx's. Link to site also is  http://sgp-touring-riding.com/gallery/

The url to one of your images is http://sgp-touring-riding.com/gallery/albums/Club%20ride%20June%202009%20resized/thumb_IMG_0126_%28Large%29.JPG and when you open this url in a browser it redirects to google (this might be your custom 404 page). This happens with all images. Also your "albums" folder (http://sgp-touring-riding.com/gallery/albums) appears to be missing.

Do not post debug info unless asked for.

Ok i'm still not sure what is going on I logged into the ftp and the albums folder is there with all the albums in it. I how ever do not see the http://www.google.com/gallery/albums/Club%20ride%20June%202009%20resized/thumb_IMG_0126_(Large).JPG  i'm assuming it's http://www.sgp-touring-riding.com/gallery/albums/Club_ride_June_2009_resized/thumb_IMG_0126_(Large).JPG   So now i'm not sure where to go from here as I can't find that pic to either edit or delete it. Like I said though in the ftp all albums are still there with all the pictures there and the permissions set correct.

Did you added/modified .htaccess? I think its more of a webhosting issue than coppermine. Ask your webhost that though the albums folder is there when viewing using ftp it is not accessible from browser.

Nope like I said I didn't mess with any settings and didn't mod the .htaccess file at all. I'll email them back and link them to here and see what they say. They checked the permissions and what not and didn't see anything as far as what might be causing it.

Ok looks like someone else is on duty now over at the hosting place and they found out it was an .htaccess file that was in that folder which is weird as I didn't add or edit one what so ever. Thx's for the help on this matter.

You wouldn't happen to know if it's possible to upgrade from my current version to the latest would you? If so can you point me to the right direction with some info on how to do this. Thx's

We have a one issue per thread policy and you agreed to it while signing up on this forum. Please respect this in future.

Upgrading from cpg1.4.0 or better to version cpg1.4.24 (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#14)

Your gallery was hacked, because of your reluctance to upgrade in time. Just removing the .htaccess file is not enough to sanitize your gallery, nor is upgrading alone enough to sanitize. Read up the "Yikes, I've been hacked" thread on how to sanitize your gallery. You haven't been able to post on the bugs board because we don't want you to post there: yours is not a bug, but a mistake on your end. A "bug" is something else per definition. Shouting "bug" into the face of developers is a bad idea if you want support from them.
