hello. im kinda new at coppermine, trying to figure out to configure stuff. i was wondering if there is a way to make it so that pictures uploaded into an album that is private (only registered users can see) do NOT get included into the random, last updated, top viewed, top rated, etc. sections. as of the default after install version of coppermine, people that haven't registered can see those pictures and by clicking it, gain access to the album that was supposed to be only for registered users. anyone know how to fix this? any tips are appreciated.
i guess i could totally remove the random/last updated/etc. sections but that would decrease the functionality of the script as a whole... :(
i have another question too now; say i accidentally created an album under *no category* then made some categories and now i want to move my album. is that possible without deleting all the pictures and having to reupload? if so, how?
1. What you describe is not normal with coppermine. Private albums are private. If an album is restricted, then the thumbs do not show in the random, lastup or any other meta album. Try logging out,and seeing if you can see them. Usually when people ask this, it is because their browser is showing them a cached page, not what anyone else will see.
2. Just click on the 'properties' box, next to the album thumb, and change the category it is in there.
3. Please only one question/topic per thread, even on threads you started.
i did log out. i refreshed, deleted all my cookies, and the images from the private album are still there ???
well nevermind i did a full reinstall and now it works.
