Is there a plugin, or a method to allow users to create their own custom 'contact sheets' or thumbnail pages of selected photos to print?

No (at least as much as I can understand the question). Not a valid feature request anyway. NO SUPPORT in FEATURE REQUESTS (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,15866.0.html). Locking
