Title: [Solved]: Private Albums not private?
Post by: jenepherre on May 20, 2004, 12:20:31 AM
So I have a set of albums that I've designated as private - only registered members can view them.  But I had to enable "Show private album Icon to unlogged user" in order to be able to admin the albums.  But the thing is... Coppermine shows a whole lot more than the private album icon to a user who isn't logged in.  They can click on the icon and see everything in the album - even full size images!   :o

It's not supposed to do that, is it?  Am I missing something?  This is a major problem for me... please help!  ???

My gallery is here: http://www.inxplicable.org/gallery/index.php

No, it shouldn't do that. Have you changed any files?

Umm... can you be more specific?  What kind of file changes could possibly cause this?  Which file is this function located in primarily?   ???

Have you turned "users can have private albums off?"

Heh.  Feeling slightly foolish.  Yeah, I had "Can users have private albums?" set to No, which I imagine means there's no such thing as a private album for that gallery, right?  I changed it to yes, and everything's fine now.  You can still click on the private album thumbnail, but it tells you "No Image to Display."   ;)

Thank you so much!  I've been incredibly impressed by the support you all provide.  Quick helpful responses.  It's much appreciated.   8)
