Title: You don't have permission to perform this operation.
Post by: scarr105 on December 18, 2009, 07:53:32 PM
I get this error message no matter who is logged in Administrator or User with upload permissions. (You don't have permission to perform this operation.)

I searched the forum and find a thread talking about
QuoteTake a look at the sessionManagement jupload configuration parameter.

This information is given in the FAQ, in the given doc.

Etienne

I see that in the readme also but I have no idea where the SessionManagement is at in the configuration, I don't see it.  I'm running the newest jupload 4.0.1

Can someone help me.

Forgot to mention one thing, the pictures get uploaded even though you get that error message.

Hi,

You give almost no information:
- What Coppermine version ?
- What JUpload version ?
- What OS, navigator ?
- And most important: what are you doing when you have have this message?

As stated in the post the JUpload is 4.0.1 and it happens when uploading images.  As far as Coppermine goes it's version 1.4.25, as far as OS and Navigator goes I can only speak for me and not my other users, I'm using IE 7 on a Windows XP machine.

Let me try to explain better what is happening, as user logs into site click the upload button, adds images using the Jupload applet click upload.  A pop windows opens says image uploaded correctly, after click OK button.  You are taken to a page that says "You don't have permission to perform this operation. If you're not connected, please login first " Even though you get this error message the image has been upload and displays fine in the gallery.

Hi,

Hum, I missed the JUpload version in your first message ...

BTW: The debug output shows a standard upload process, as you stated in the previous message.
I went to your site:
- It seems to be not bridged (Coppermine stand alone installation). So it should run normally...
- I registered there, but you have to validate my registration (etienne_sf). Can you do it, so that I give it a try ?

I tried to repeat it on my demo site, but it's down  ...  !

Can you validate my registration on your site ?

I have given you administrator permissions, so you can look at the configuration if you need to.  If you could please upload to the misc/misc, thanks.

Solved,

Your Coppermine configuration was wrong: the leading www. was leading in the web site URL.

Thanks for the help, sorry it was my configuration settings and it's something I should have been able to fix.

Just so I know you are saying I was missing the www. under the general settings were it asks for the website URL.

thanks again.
