Hi,
I've only been using Coppermine for about two months, but I have a good handle on uploading photos and would like to move onto videos. Is it as simple as uploading photos, (videos uploaded to FTP, then batch-added, thumbnail automatically generated, etc.) or is there something more to it? The reason I'm asking (prepare for back story! :P) is because I asked the girl who primarily runs the site said that adding videos was "more complicated". Can someone please help me out?

(Please note: I have checked out this thread http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=46571.0 as well as various others and many websites, but have not found any of them particularly helpful)
On a side note that relates to this - I currently do not have an account on the video archive, but I DO have accounts in the galleries we use for photos and graphics (http://annasophia-robb.org/gallery/ http://annasophia-robb.org/artarchive/) as well as the site's primary FTP server. Do I have the power to create an account for myself, or do I have to wait for the other webmiss (she made my accounts on the art archive and gallery) to make one for me?
Thanks! :)
Just upload the video, but the Coppermine is unable to create you a thumbnail. You should also update your gallery as soon as possible since it's running Coppermine v. 1.4.18 which has many security vulnerabilities.
Thank you! :) Do you have any idea how I could create an account for myself?
By the way, I saw the security update - I unfortunately don't have the jurisdiction to add it, but I e-mailed the info to the primary webmaster. :D
The registration is not enabled in the gallery. Ask your gallery's admin to enable it. See the docs (http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm) for more information.
We don't support end users, but only gallery admins. Ask the person who is in charge of maintaining your gallery.
