Add a search field to the "Contents of the Main Page". Visitors will be able to search the gallery from the Home page.
Set by configuration the search parameters and page location.

When used with other index page plugins like Online Stats the list order in plugin manager might need to be adjusted up/down.

No.
I have no plans to update this plugin soon.
Sections of it could be used in a custom header or footer which shows on every page.
