A lot of pictures I try to upload, like big ones, always have to be uploaded one by one but half of them don't show up when I click on them, the image just won't load, for instance look

When you click on the picture it doesn't load, how can I fix this? Also some pictures will upload and some won't.
Please help me I'm desperate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That image works for me. However, the image is the same size as the intermediate so it will not be any bigger.
Here is the link to the fullsize version - http://inspireddesigns.freehostia.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10001/22.jpg
Try viewing in a different browser at it may be a problem with your own machine.

Maybe you exceeded limits set by your freehost. It's a good idea to read the TOS of your service provider before running into problems. Freehosts have a lot of downsides (ads, limited bw, space, filesize, CPU, limits in php, mysql)
But the image does exist because I have it saved just like the other images, I really don't understand why some upload and others don't.
as said, read the TOS of your host... no files > 500kb. You may of course save it, but if the file will stay is another question. If you don't believe me verify yourself. USe the link I provided, log in via FTP or telnet or whatever and check. I guess your host runs a cronjob every few mins/ hours and deletes all files > 500kb.
Please don't make me responsible for that. Spend a few bucks to get out of those restrictions.
Ah you're right, unfortunately I can't affort to update, but I have the same problem with small pictures, they don't show up either, some do and some don't even though they exist
You need to verify that the filesize isn't > 500kb. It doesn't matter if it's a small or large image in size x/y.
Compress the image locally (jpg) so that you fullfill the requirements. That's probably the best solution if you don't want to upgrade.
Ok so how can I do this? Do I change the file thing on the host or on coppermine, sorry I'm just a little confused, and what should I change it to?
As said, best is to do that locally. Use an image editing software of your joice for that. There are thousands of programs that can do that for you (batch too, if necessary)
How? The freewebs host won't let me remove the file restriction without me paying money.
locally means at your computer at home before uploading
Switch to a decent host. It need not be expensive, probably a fiver a month should cover more than you need. Otherwise you cannot got around the restrictions that your free host is placing upon you. You only option will be to keep image sizes down by making them smaller in photoshop or similar tool. Use the save for web option and check before you save them that the filesize is less than 500k.
Oh, what good host do you recomend? I'd be ok paying a little.
I cannot really recommend any as I only use 123reg.co.uk (http://www.123-reg.co.uk/web-hosting/) and bytemark.co.uk (http://www.bytemark.co.uk) (bytemark is where this very site is hosted)
Do a little research and I am sure you will find one that suits your needs. I will say to avoid 000webhost but any other host that provides php5 and mysql should accomodate.
Well I tried that resizing thing and saying for web but this image still won't show up, I just don't get it

The fullsize version just does not exist - http://inspireddesigns.freehostia.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10001/4dsa.jpg
You can only speak to your host as we cannot help you further. The fullsize image must have been there to creat the thumb/intermediate but something wierd is going on at your hosting end.
Hey, I contacted the host and they said this
Hello,
Thank you for contacting our Technical Support Department.
1. Please note that you are currently using our Chocolate/Free Hosting plan and it has a restriction for uploading files bigger than 500KB. Uploaded such big files are removed or disabled automatically by our system so they could not be used.
Our paid hosting plans do not have this restriction. You can upgrade your web hosting plan from the "Change plan" section on your control panel, you will find the link on the left "Upgrades" menu.
Upgrading to a paid hosting plan would also allow you to send e-mails via your account with us - the SMTP will be activated for you. The Watercircle plan is only $2.95/month and has no such restrictions. In addition disk space, monthly traffic and other features will be increased significantly. You will be able to check a comparison of our payed hosting plans features here:
http://freehostia.com/compare-hosting-plans.html
2. You must not leave gaps in folders names such as:
Cliff Watts for Seventeen, 2009
You must name your folders as entire name like:
Cliff_Watts_for_Seventeen,_2009
or similar names.
If this is not the case I am afraid that this would be a script issue and not a server side issue, as you are able to upload images to your account with us. I have tested to upload a test image to your account with us as well and there was no problem to do so:
http://inspireddesigns.freehostia.com/gallery/albums/1test.jpg
Unfortunately we do not provide support for custom third party scripts and we will not be able to assist you further with your script issue. I would advise you to contact the Coppermine script technical support team so they will be able to assist you further in this situation.
http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/
If you have any further questions or problems, please do not hesitate to contact us!
But the problem is, it's not just big images that won't load, some small ones equally won't load and randomly says they don't exist when they do, yet there is no difference between them and the ones that do upload, so I'm so confused.
I am still of the firm belief that it is a hosting issue.
