Now, in properties of an album you can choose who can view it.
(onyl registered, only admins, everyone, predefined etc).

I wish you can add this: 8)

actually you can have this; the feature is already there: first, go to groups and define that a group you have there can upload. Then, in album properties, a dropdown will appear where you can enable upload to this special album.

But...

eg. I have defined two groups, GroupA & GroupB, both can upload pic

also I have defined two albums, AlbumA & AlbumB

I want GroupA can upload pic to AlbumA, but GroupB not permit

and GroupB can upload pic to AlbumB,but GroupA not permit

How can I do this?

so you need to set album A permissions to Group A u/load only and set album B perms. to Group B u/load only?

you would think coppermine has this ability, but i am looking now and all i can find is allow view?

perhaps it would be nice if under "groups" we could set allowable permissions for each group in more detail, not just allow uploads and so on. Maybe I am overlooking something but I will endevour to write my own code and see what happens.

edit#1: i notice in update album with the dropdown list you can chose a album and it says something like (usersname)albumname, and you can use the switch allow visitor uploads y/n? Maybe u could try making (groupA)GroupAalbum, and only allow Group A upload rights, no visitor u/loads, similar to specfic user rights we have now, but could be made to work with a group? its something to try.

I don't think we have what hotsnow is asking for - Once allow visitors (which BTW is wrong term) selected for an album - any group which is allowed upload will be able to upload to this album

What hotsnow wants is that like view can be enable for just a particular group so should the upload be...

Am I right?

Now if an album allow upload,all the group have permission to upload can upload to this album,

We do not want this...

Now in property of an album, VIEW can select which group, we also want UPLOAD can select which group too... But now UPLOAD is just y/n :cry:
