Title: more than 5 pictures upload from the user in group 'registered'
Post by: briseid on June 20, 2004, 10:21:09 AM
Hi
I know this can be done via FTP and batch mode by the administrator but this is timeconsuming . Alot of
photoalbum application enable each user to mark in one operation several files (e.g. 10-15) from the file browser of the Operating system and upload it.
Why can't this be implemented in Coppermine ?

You can set it to allow up to 10 at a time, in the groups settings.  Scroll to the right of the page.

here I want to repeat the questio of briseid.

Is it possible that the user openes one upload box and markes SEVERAL files within this box. e.g. he goes to the subfolder with the pics on his computer, marks all pics, and hits the button.

As far as I understand, so far the user can only chose one file after the other, using several upload boxes, which makes it quite time consuming. And she might also chose the same file twice.

Is it possible to add this feature?

no, this is not possible. It is a restriction of the upload box itself (in html) - you can't select multiple files at once in one box. Since the upload box is the only way to access files and folders on your local hard drive, there's no way around (well, you could create an ActiveX-Control that does that, but would work on Windoze only).
You can however go to the groups settings and specify up to 10 upload boxes. to appear.

Please use the search facility.  Typing 'jupload' into it just gave me 4 results, all relevent.
