Title: Error, You don't have permission to access this page.
Post by: lilguy43uk on May 19, 2011, 03:02:44 PM
Using V1.5.12 and this problem only started when I upgraded to this version.

I am getting  "Error You don't have permission to access this page" after uploading pictures to the gallery. It then kicks me back to a login screen with the option to choose language and theme although it's already been set to English and Curve.

Once I log in for the second time I can edit the information on the files that I have uploaded. I then have to logout twice to get out completely.

Adjust the path to your gallery in the config.

Adjust the path to your gallery in the config.

Thanks Αndré

The path is set to http://fleetwoods-maritime-heritage.info/coppermine/

Which matches the path used in the web browser when accessing the gallery.

The cookie name was set to "Coppermine" so I've just changed it to the default "cpg15x" but it's made no difference.

Please post a test user account which is able to upload files to your gallery.

I should point out that it's not until I've uploaded a picture and then clicked on to the "continue" button that I get taken to the second login screen. Once logged in for the second time and I've reset the theme and default language, then I get taken to the page where I should have gone when I clicked the "continue" button.

Αndré

The gallery is at

http://fleetwoods-maritime-heritage.info/coppermine/

The user is Testuser and the password is testuser.

However, that's raised another problem. Although the user is in the "Registered" group and set to active, and the permissions for the group allows uploads, when I tested the account I was denied uploads into the public albums.

I'm going to walk away from this for an hour as I'm starting to get a bit confused. I'll have another look when I make myself a cup of tea.

Thanks

Just changed album permissions to allow uploads. Should be OK now.

Oh, ballcocks

I knew I should have gone and made a brew. It's the "Coastal Vessel" gallery that I've enabled.

Everything worked for me as expected. Please ensure that you're really on
and not on
when you're uploading pictures to your gallery.

Oh. good grief

Sometimes I need the obvious pointing out to me because I can be quite thick.

Thanks for that

Regards

Jim

Maybe you want to read the last section of that document: http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/bridging.htm#integrating_subdomain_www

I was having the same problem and it solved in the following way:

I went to the Admin Panel -> Config -> General Settings

and changed the URL of my coppermine gallery

from
http://www.mysite.com/coppermine

to
http://mysite.com/coppermine

Just removed the www. and it solved the problem.
Hope it will help you.
