Title: Are there any album/file/category limits?
Post by: jdowen2211 on June 28, 2011, 07:59:31 PM
I want to start a coppermine gallery on my website but I am just worried about the limits of the gallery. In fact are there any? Can you have as many albums you want in as many categories as you want? Can you have as many files as you like in an album?

Hope someone can answer these,
thanks in advance
James  ;)

There are no limitations built into Coppermine. You can add as much categories/albums/files as you want until you hit the technical limitations of your server.

If it helps, I currently have ~50,000 pics on my gallery in around 400 albums (some albums as little as 5 pics, others as large as 2000 pics).

The ability for Coppermine to house a large number of pictures is what made me come back to Coppermine.  :)  I tried out ImageVueX and Piwigo, and both of them started timing out on me.
