Not sure if this topic should be here, but how the forum lacks of a board for doubts and questions, here it goes..
When thumbnails of transparent png images are shown in my gallery, they have an ugly black background. Is there a way to change the color generated to the background of these "transparent" thumbnails?
Moved from "Feature requests" board.
Please post a link to your gallery and a link to an image which has such a thumbnail.

Just take a look at the Last Images on the bottom of the page.

Unfortunately there's no support for cpg1.4.x since a couple of months. The good thing: the alpha channel will be preserved in cpg1.5.x, so all you have to do is to upgrade your gallery to the latest stable release (currently cpg1.5.16).
Any risks about upgrading? Because it's a production website, and we can't run any loss of material.
And, if upgrading, there is a simple way to change the color the alpha channel gets, when the image becomes a thumbnail?
Read and follow the upgrade docs carefully and you should be fine. You maybe want to test the upgrade process on a local copy of your gallery.
Ok, 1.5.x now.
And my thumbnails still have a black background in the place of transparency.
Forget it, already made.

Not sure what you try to tell me. But you have to use the admin tools to re-create all thumbnail files if you want to have the transparent background.
