Hey... i think im just misssing some simple configuration... but i wanted to know if/how can users in my gallery create new albums in the main or " " category. The users can create albums in the User Galleries Category... but that doesnt show up on the main page...
What i basically want is that users can add albums to which they can upload their files..which show up on the main page...without having to go to th User galleries section and so on.....
I hope i've explained the problem well enough...
thanks

Users cannot create albums in the main categories.
But they can upload to albums created by admin in these categories.
ah k thanks!
then could u tell me a way for me to make category to be shown in the main page? instead of the albums?
nvm i think I got it... Thanks alot!
hi. I have a problem here.
How can the user create his own gallery? whe user tries to uppload file it gives "Sorry there is no album where you are allowed to upload files".
In debug mode it looks like this
QuoteSorry there is no album where you are allowed to upload files
File: /usr/home/tusers/inbeatz/inbeatz.com/gallery/upload.php - Line: 845
am I doing something wrong? ???
They need to click on the Albums button and create an album. Or you need to create a public album that they can upload to.
Read the included documentation.
may be I'm just missin' something... But I don't see any "Album" button in the menu (in user mode).
I would like all users to have their own galleries, so one public gallery isn't the way out:(
And I have read the documentation... I haven't found anything concerning my problem in it...
sorry for being so stupid ::)
You need to be an actual standard user to see this button. Regular users, who are allowed to upload, and allowed to have personal albums, have their own admin menu, and they have to be in admin mode to use them.
So to test this, create a registered test user, with the permissions, and log on as that user. Click on admin mode, and you will see 3 buttons where you usually see the admin buttons. They should be self explanetory.
How about the opposite. I don't want users to be able to make their own albums..or upload.
I have a very very high traffic site..with bandwidth concerns.
Then you just turn their ability to do this in the groups settings. Set everything to no for all groups except admin. Then the users will not see the admin buttons, and not be able to do anything other than browse your site.
