Jan 24, 2013 at 02:34 AM - File albums/userpics/10003/normal_photo0090.jpg is missing
Im reading a lot of lines in the log file, can you tell me the cause. All seams to be running just fine. I went to the server and looked inside userpics/10003 and there are imaes and "thumb_photo0090.jpg"
Something from an old version?
I have Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.5.18 (stable)
Only thing changes was I added a capatcha plugin a while ago for ecards

You can re-create intermediate-sized pictures with the admin tools.

I have Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.5.18 (stable)
Please upgrade to the latest stable release, cpg1.5.22.
QuoteYou can re-create intermediate-sized pictures with the admin tools
But why is there an error in the first place?
I have photo0090.jpg and thumb_photo0090.jpg
I do not have it set to show anything inbetween
Please upgrade to cpg1.5.22 and check if the error still occurs. There have been a lot of changes since cpg1.5.18.
Have downloaded, backed up, look at what I may have changed, upgrade later
Thanks
Ok, I made a change
http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,73335.0/topicseen.html
Sometime ago, and was about to upload new, however looking at "theme.php" is just a few lines, unlike the old one that has many lines
You don't need to overwrite your theme during the upgrade. Please perform the upgrade and if the error message still occurs, we will check your theme or anything else.
Ok thanks, reason my theme.php is big, is because I added contect of theme_html_picture :)-
Ok, hope its not going to change anything, will back it up first.. thanks
To avoid that your theme will be overwritten during an upgrade, there's a simple but important rule: http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/theme_create.htm#theme_create_rename
Ah yes, that would stop any changes there, that is unless there is an important change. Will get this working and make a "default" folder and changes later.
BTW what happens to the capatcha plugin I installed? should I now switch it off, before upgrade? does capatcha come installed now for ecards etc
I got hit badly by a robot spammer, the logs show it was still trying failed image etc, so banned ip address
I don't know which plugin you use, or if it's a genuine plugin at all. If it's a plugin, it overwrites Coppermine's default plugin and you don't need to uninstall it.
Its one from this site somewhere :)- one that was made pending any future changes
mm, there were things uploaded to root, so not sure now, I know it came from here somewhere
It would really help if you'd post more details, e.g. the file/folder names what has been uploaded. However, maybe you used this one (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,71501.0.html)?
Yes, think that was it..
However, Ive just uploaded new overwrite except a file (forgot name will find in a second) read it in doc..
All seams to be ok until I loged out, then as a guest (needs approval) I selected to upload a picture, but there wasnt an album available in the list anymore.
On checking users, I done seam to have a guest anymore, think I had called it "Visitor"
Ah, under groups its still there, sorry..
So problem now is there dont seam to be an album for a guest anymore

Please have a look at http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,75905.0.html
Hell thats all I need is a fault in the code...
Changed code now working
Well now a guest can upload a photo, however there is no title or description box available.
Comments are not these boxes right, I have comments for guest's off
I really suggest to read the docs. When using the flash uploader as guest you cannot enter meta data unless you change a value in the database. Please have a look at the known issues docs (right at the bottom).
Im NOT using the flash uploader, its set to one file at a time, so I DONT need to read anything
Jan 24, 2013 at 10:08 PM - File albums/userpics/10001/normal_me_and_bob.jpg is missing.
The error before update is still there, I uploded a file as a user and this is shown in the log file
From the docs:
Quote from: http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/known_issues.htmIf you allow guests to upload files to your gallery, they won't be able to add file details. This feature has been disabled as it's not possible to identify the user without fail (see thread). Additionally it may attract spammers to add textual content to your gallery. If you want to enable that feature anyway, find Coppermine's configuration table in the database and change the value of allow_guests_enter_file_details to '1'.
Seems that both of us need to read the docs ;) I haven't checked the behavior for guest uploads with the single upload form, but I trust what's written in the docs.
What is the point of not having this setting, as all guest uploads needs approval, so I dont see the point. Who would let a guest upload without needing approval.
I had already looked at the database, now I have to look again
Darn it, no capacha on file upload.. I give up
Im sure these comments are made so more questions are asked.. What table is allow_guests_enter_file_details in? not in config

Quite a few people do just that. In fact I had a gallery running for years where guests could upload without approval and due to the nature of the site very rarely got any spam images.

It is in the database. It is not in the config as it is a hidden option for a reason.
Please slow down. Rapidly posting before you have thought things through for a bit is making your thread hard to follow.

Check your plugin settings.
We do have a one person per thread rule. Please try and read the board rule. It make it a lot easier to help you if you follow them.
Ive been sent to a thread dated 2010, and still nothing has happend with this, there is no use at all having a guest upload a photo if they cannot add a title (At leased)
I guess I have to spend hours looking for this setting?
No thanks, I think now this album has become a personal album for just a few people in this forum, with no care for the end user.
There are no plugins installed, and those that are available to install do not have capacha, capacha is only working via ecards, as I added it via a mod link in this forum.
This album is now unusable, so I think its time I moved on
P.S you may not have had many visitors? I rank number one in Google
Phill already told you our one question per thread rule, so please start new threads for any other issue than the initial issue. As far as I can see your issue isn't solved yet. Please post a link to your gallery and a link to the page where the log message occurs (I don't know if it happens for all pictures or just some).

no capacha on file upload
It's the first time you're asking for that feature and as far as I know it doesn't exist out of the box, but maybe could added in a future release.

It's in the config table. If not, please run
update.php (which you need to run anyway on every update).

You need to read the docs and search our board for already answered question before starting new threads.

Well, that was really helpful.
