Print Page - Gallery thumbs on index page

Hi,

I'm looking for the setting where I can set that on index.php/homepage the thumbs of the galleries are shown instead of the category and the galleries links.
Is this possible or do I have to alter the template?

Any help or hints are welcome.

You can edit the front page with this setting.
