the file in question was a GIF, and I guess you're using GD2 as image library, which doesn't come with GIF support at all, so probably that's why. For details, search this forum for "GIF support GD lzw"...

did you ever manage to upload a pic, or is it a first-time error? If this happens all the time for all pics, no matter what size, try applying CHMOD once more to the albums folder (and all sub-folders). Make sure to test with known-good pics (which are in RGB, not CMYK) with small file size and small dimensions (preferably download some pics for testing purposes from our demo (http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/demo/)). To get more detailed reports, go to coppermine config and enable debug mode (at the very bottom of the screen).
Post a link to your gallery as well, together with a test account (non-admin) with upload permissions, so we can try for ourselves.

yes it happens for all and im using winxp pro and apache and cmdd is right as far as i know
http://starbrat.servehttp.com/pics/ is the site
u/n test
pw test
did the tests and the same thing happend
well i was just informed of a server maint. if u dont conntect tonight should be back up in the morning
btw thx in adavce for helping me ;)
Windows doesn't have CHMOD, so your CHMOD settings can't be correct nor uncorrect! Windows has a similar thing to CHMOD though - check the file permissions for the albums folder - the user the webserver process (apache) runs under needs rwx permissions.
GauGau
they all check out ok all in the root folder on C:\www\.... is what im using
did the test that u did reviel anything???
what permission settings do you have for your albums dir?
GauGau
