Is it possible to remove the icons next to the tableh1 text in a gallery theme

Unfortunately your gallery is in maintenance mode, so I cannot see what you're talking about. Please either disable it or post some screenshots.

You can disable them in the config: http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/configuration.htm#admin_enable_menu_icons
