It doesn't seem that you regularly add large numbers of files to your gallery. You may be served better by using standard scripted upload methods, rather than a batch method. In particular, adding this plugin (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,75927.0.html) to your CPG 1.5.46 installation will provide several conveniences to uploading files to your gallery.
