I'd start a new post on my subject, but I can seem to figure out how! So i'm responding here with my similar problem:
SFM 2.0.13
http://65gs.com/board
Coppermine (most current) Fresh install as of a few days ago.
http://65gs.com/photogallery
Generic Bridge Configuration
When Im in Coppermine and click login it takes me to:
http://65gs.com/board/index.php?action=login
I login fine to SMF, and Im an admin there.
Confused by why, after login, i'm still in SMF, but ok.
Goto http://65gs.com/photogallery
Not logged in.
Endless circle.
Cant login to Coppermine at all now.
Now what?
Peter
Please disable the bridge and then check your bridge settings. Post them here exactly as you input them, probably best with a screenshot. If you cannot disable the bridge please see the docs for instructions on recovering from a failed bridging.
See attached. After enabling and i login it takes me to the forum and i cant login to the gallery. The bridge is currently disabled do to the problem:
FORUM: www.65gs.com/board
GALLERY: www.65gs.com/photogallery
Thanks for any help!
Peter
I think you may be running into domain name problems. A far as cookies are concerned, the domain name www.65gs.com is different than 65gs.com. A login cookie created at one domain may not be available at the other. Your login takes place at 65gs.com but the link to your gallery is to www.65gs.com/photogallery.

Im confused.
- There is no www.65gs.com/gallery
- The forum is at www.65gs.com/board
- The gallery is at www.65gs.com/photogallery
BOTH are
www.65gs.com

There is no www.65gs.com/gallery
Sorry ... I meant
photogallery.
If you try to login at the board it goes to
65gs.com not
www.65gs.com.
I think these days it's best to do without the
www.
Ron,
So im unclear.
I get the whole www/no www thing...
but...
how do i setup my SMF/CM bridge to work related to all this?
You might try just going trough all the settings for both SMF and CPG and get rid of the www. in front of any url referring to either of them.
Neither are set to use www... see attached.

But your gallery link on the SMF nav bar points to http://www.65gs.com/photogallery and not http://65gs.com/photogallery
Agreed. I'll fix that. But that doesnt address the bridging problem.

I notice in your gallery, the Home button and the Logo also point to http://www.65gs.com/photogallery/index.php and not http://65gs.com/photogallery/index.php
It should bridge ok, I'm running the same setup as you.
Also try in SMF Admin > Configuration > Server Settings > Cookies and Sessions Make sure the following are unticked
Enable local storage of cookies
Use subdomain independent cookies
Enable local storage of cookies
Use subdomain independent cookies
both OFF
Tried the bridge again.
Simple Machines (SMF) 2.x
Your bridge settings
Relative path to your bridge app's config file: ../board/
Use bridge app custom groups?: 0
Enable integration/bridging with Simple Machines (SMF) 2.x
enable
Still no luck.
After enabling the bridge I would try this.
log out of forum, close browsers and clear your browser cache. Then test it again to see if it's working.
If you've resolved your problem, could you please let everyone know what the solution was?
