Can any one make some thing like this for Coppermine - http://www.flickr.com/fun/zeitgeist/
I really like it :)
I found a tool that may be able to do this.

http://www.alysen.com/FlashSamples/phpPhotoAlbum/
It pulls the images from the directory structure, and the comments are in text files, but it could probably be modified to pull from the database. I think he hard-coded the .SWF object to look for directories and text files, so someone with Flash MX will need to modify it to pull from the database. I don't have Flash MX but it's a start
I have Flash MX - and will see what I can do with it...
make sure it's being released under GNU GPL or a similar license that would allow us to use it before you actually start to look into this; it would be a pity if you put work into it and then discovered later we can not use it for legal reasons...

I'm working on that - and if it's not I'll completely rewrite things.
This would work well as a plugin or module to place anywhere on a page.
Best way to do this (if you're ready to take the effort twice) would be to create a "regular" mod for cpg1.3.x (with "find X, replace with Y" instructions for the coppermine files that have to be modified) and a plugin for cpg1.4.0, using omni's plugin API (as far as I have understood it is pretty stable). It would be great if there already where plugins ready once cpg1.4.0 will be released.

I'm releasing a plugin mod for 1.3.2 also, once I finish the api docs.

Free or paid version (to remove or not the signature)
xml compatible
a tool written in php ...
VERY SIMPLE TO CUSTOMIZE (only one line to change a lot of datas)
I think a good flash & php coder could do this without problem ...
Where to place it ??? 2 solutions
- instead the slideshow link
- or in admin menu, turn navigation to "coppermine" or "flash navigation" ...
do not cross-post (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=14014.0)!

What you guys think about this one:
www.montesantoonline.com.br
.. on the top left of the page ... random changing the pics..
there another here:
www.adventurismo.com.br
you can set it this way:
<embed.... bla bla that normal flash code......
<param name "flashvars value = "category=(the cat to get he pics leave blank to get from album)&album=(leave blank to get by cat)&time=(time to change them)&what=(this is one convention, can be "last ones", "random", "more votes", etc....
it easy to set up the swf... the (not to much) complex part, is that to consume this services you need to install amfphp (200kb) on your server...
the only thing to work in make this flash "reads" a coppermine site without this db process...
or mod coppermine to make an xml file of requested albums....or cats....
Hi there! You know i think the best program for making Flash Slideshows is Flash SlideVidshow by geovid. Its easy to manage, thats why i prefer it than others and i advise it to you. I found it from google search.Try you too 8)
Guys, check this out: http://www.jeroenwijering.com/?item=Flash_JPG_Rotator
I am using it on my site (not inside coppermine) but all it does is picks up images from an xml file and rotates them in a variety of ways... simple and free... plus the guy who did it is really cool who could potentially assist with some coding explanation if necessary...
it comes with the wrong license to be fit to be added in future coppermine versions, sorry. Would have to be posted as a mod, can't go into the core.
Hi,
You can use SimpleViewer / PostcardViewer / AutoViewer.

How is this suppossed to be integrated into Coppermine?
Has anyone achieved this yet?
I've been experimenting with mootools ( http://mootools.net/ ) and a slideshow made using it ( http://www.phatfusion.net/slideshow/index.htm ). To modify the code to make the flickr type slideshow above seems quite simple though I'm struggling to get it quite right but given time...
The source is under the MIT licence ( http://www.opensource.org/licenses/mit-license.php ) which should make it suitable for use here. Infact the lightbox mod uses mootools to good effect.

Did you create this
phatfusion (http://www.phatfusion.net/slideshow/index.htm). It is quite promising. I am interested with a slide show that will serve also as a navigational tool -- either to go back to the photoalbum (the CPMFetch may do this to an extent), but one that is used quite a bit in online news and magazines, to entice the viewer to visit a specific article, section or site.

Slideshows allows millions of possibilities. I really love this idea.
