Title: Hieroglyphes in album titles
Post by: pictureproject.me.ly on August 21, 2021, 01:28:44 PM
Hi there,

I'm using CPG for years now but by any reason, I'm having all album names with special characters now replaced by hieroglyphes.
Like [DE] Höglwörther See, 17.04.2013 / Höglwörther See where the "ö" got replaced.

Is there a chance to get rid of these hieroglyphes?

According to the phpinfo.php, my default_charset is "UTF-8" which should be correct, right?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi,

someone has any idea to fix this issue?
It's still unsolved.

Thanks

Similar problem at my database.
After upgrade from 1.5.48 to 1.6.21 and php 8.0 all special characters (Greek letters, symbols, ... ) are confused to some different mess.

Eg. "M OΠEΛIOC ANTωNEINOC" looks now "M OÎ EΛΛIOC ANTΩNEINOC".

Regards

Hello,

thanks for your attempt.

I added "$CONFIG['dbcharset'] = 'latin1';" to my my include/config.inc.php file. But this did not solve the problem of changed special characters.
For example four Chinese characters look like this now: 康 熙 通 宝

Maybe i understood something wrong or my include/config.inc.php is corrupted otherwise?
