Hi, I just downloaded version 1.6.29 for the purpose of upgrading from version cpg 1.6.x-1.6.27 and after reading the Readme page it says to read the documentation I would find in a folder name Docs. I extracted all the files from the zip and no such folder exists.
The reason for the upgrade is my server host requires PHP Version 8.4 (lower versions no longer supported).
I'm kind of up in the air as to how to go about this upgrade. I still have the docs folder from the cpg 1.6.x-1.6.27 version in case they're the same. I just don't want to make any moves that will mess things up. I did the backup of all the files and also the database.
I'm still getting an error message concerning connecting to the database though. It reads:
Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !
MySQLi said: 1045 : Access denied for user 'photoman'@'sitea-web525.eigbox.net' (using password: YES)
I copied all the information for the config sheet straight from the database management page. I'm going to call the server host about the connection issue but really concerned about the upgrade and if info in Docs folder (which I don't see) is any different. I've been using this gallery since 2011 and hate for anything to happen to it.
Thank you,
Dave
Hi, no worries...the gallery is alive and working. There was an error in the config page that escaped my eye.
Would like to thank everybody here for help I've had in the past and for providing such a great gallery.
The Best To All,
Dave
