Title: Is it possible to control all instances of CPG from one source? As for ISPs
Post by: SandrasXXX on July 29, 2004, 10:10:27 PM
If I want to offer this "digital album" service for my customers as an ISP - is it possible to control all instances of CPG from one source?

For example if 80 customers want it - does it mean that I need to install 80 different instances of it on the server!? Imagine what job it would be to update them manually  :(

I have in mind something like this:

I hope that I explained my issue well.

Thank you.

Regards.

There have been requests before from webhosts if it was possible to come up with a modified version of coppermine where all core code resides in one place and the users have only some custom files necessary, but so far the dev team hasn't come up with a webhost version. There are however a lot of webhosts who are bundling coppermine with their webspace. Maybe you could play around with symlinks to make this work.

I'm actually interested to pay some fee for this to be done. Shall post a thread in your freelance forum?

Can you recommend someone who can do this?

Thank you.
