hi there
I am using cpg 1.3.1 everything is working fine with picture upload. But now i am trying to make a movie and file gallery.
I Uploaded via FTP different files( movies, html, and others) and there is no way i got a thumbnail picture. is it a possible bug, because i updated from 1.2.1 to 1.3.1? do i have to make i new install of the gallery?

Have you read the documentation about custom thumbnails?  The custom thumbnail for movies is also covered in various posts on this board.

yes i did but did'nt work out i any way. allways got no thumbnail

Please create a test user, and post the login/password here.

Are you uploading jpg/png or gif thumbnails?  Are you naming the thumbnails like this: thumb_filename.jpg, and putting them in the same directory as the uploaded movie?

I also see you said you are uploading html files.

These are not allowed filetypes, unless you have modified your database, as they are a security risk, along with php, js files etc.

Hi duca,

first, you must NEVER post an admin account details on the open board.  If it is required, we will ask you to send it by pm.
I have edited your post above to remove it, but also suggest you delete that account now, for your security.

I have found the cause of your problems.  It is because you have changed the name of your thumbs in config.

You will need to use that prefix, for the thumbnails, not just 'thumb_', and you will also have to change the name of the default thumbs in the images folder to match.  Alternately, you could return the thumb setting to normal, and then rename all the thumbs already created.

maybe I should apply the system thumb changes that I made in devel to stable also. since no language/config variables are affected, it should be ok.
